Growing up in Hawai'i, we didn't really celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It wasn't a big deal like it is in some places on the Mainland.
And I've never really celebrated it with my kids. But this year, I plan on surprising them (mama's gotta get a surprise in when she can!)
I found these cute little green buckets.
Grabbed the label punch and a small heart punch,
and whipped up some cute tags.
In about 10 minutes (6 of those minutes spent collecting the supplies from around the house) I created a little leprechaun magic by making a Bucket o' Gold Candy.
With a little luck (I need luck to outsmart 3 observant kids!) I'm looking forward to a St. Patrick's Day morning surprise at my house.

Very cute idea! Where did you find the buckets?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sylvia. Found them new with tags at local thrift shop. I went back 2 days later to buy more and they were all gone (at least 30 of them!)
DeleteVery cute idea. I love to surprise my kids too. Please consider linking this up at my weekend link party @ The Patriotic Pam. Hope to see you there.

Susan this is adorable! I have a similar heart punch and it never occurred to me to use it to make shamrocks. Thanks for the inspiration.
